tioman photo diary

TIOMAN PHOTO DIARY. Weekend trip to Tioman in Malaysia. Contrary to the weather forecast, it was super sunny most of the time, no rain. The journey to and from Tioman was a pain due to the lack of organization, the brutal midday heat and the Malaysian driving style, but the island was worth it. Lizards and iguanas, coconut and palm trees, monkeys - the island has a very "exotic" feel. The first day we went snorkeling and then just relaxed. The second day some of us lazed at the beach, while others when snorkeling, or hiking. I of course choose the first option. :-) then at night we went to a bonfire that some people we met had at the beach. Overall the island kind of reminded me of Langkawi, if you substitute the Sheraton hotel for a 5 Euros per night "beach chalet", whereby calling it a chalet is quite the hyperbole... The tough life of being a student... :-)

Today the sun is semi-out, it's looking a bit milder outside, so I'm heading to orchard road, which is the big shopping road here with all the luxury brands, to go to the Sony store there - need a memory card of my digital camera. And tonight Elena is landing in Singapore so we are heading out to dinner and then afterwards, we'll see... Wednesday is always Ladies Night in Singapore so free entry, free drinks. There are days when I just think to myself "man, it's good to be a woman", and those days are usually on a Wednesday. :-)

More from me soon.
Lots of love from Singapore,
Svenja
