saigon dep lam

SAIGON DEP LAM. Great weekend in Vietnam. The city has changed so much and you see a lot of high rise buildings and luxury stores, like Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and and... Surprising also the weather is less humid and hot in Vietnam than in Singapore, which does not mean that is not boiling nevertheless, but it made wearing what has become basically my daily uniform of maxi dress and sandals nice and airy as opposed to sticky when worn in Singapore. My weekend was more or less composed of sleeping in the most comfortable bed ever, swimming (which equals to Dad teaching me how to properly breast stroke), walking about, talking to Ba Noi and eating, meeting up with Kimi, his friends and an old classmate from 4th grade, eating, and did I mention eating? I have fallen in love with Pomodoro, where Dad and I went for dinner, and the lunch buffet at Caravelle and have renewed my love for Pho24 (although Mom's pho remains the clear winner).

All of this blah blah summed up in pictures:
(1) View out of the hotel room
(2) + (3) Pool area where Daddy and I went for a swim Saturday morning
(4) Ba Noi and I in the lobby
(5) Busy streets of Saigon
(6) Pretty flowers in front of Vincom
(7) Relaxation :-)
(8) Opera house
(9) New high-rise
(10) Family road trip
(11) "Contrast"
(12) Lunch buffet at the Caravelle, best!

The Daniel camera "Olympus" is nice and work well as it provided nice pictures. Hope the memory stick 4GB (Sony) and the earphone are also proper in function. Singapore is very often more hot and humid than Saigon and Bangkok because it locates near to equator and therefore more raining ! You will soon become familiar to the tropical climate and perhaps complaint that Europe is so cool and dark when get back in Jan. ! Man gewoehnt sich dran.
